Great food! Service is great too! My kids loved it! Will be going back again! Small inside but the tables are nicely positioned.
The location is small, I wish it were bigger, BUT the food is great! Staff were also very friendly and helpful with suggestions. If you want to go on the weekend in the evening be prepared for a wait time. But definitely worth the wait! My only complaint is that the ceiling, air vets, and anything above your head is very dusty and not very clean.
I've been hearing and seeing HiroNori in a few different places so I decided to try in on a cold fall evening. I tried the one in Long Beach, which is in a small complex that is has a number of restaurants. Parking is kinda tight and limited so finding a spot on the street may be an option. HiroNori doesn't take reservations, but you can get on their waiting list. I waited for about 20 to 30 minutes for myself. You can actually follow your status via an app. Upon being seated, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with corn. I literally got my order within 3 minutes! It was a good serving and the flavors were on point! The pork was delicate and the broth was creamy and flavorful. I ordered a hot tea, but never received it, but other than that, the food was good and service was fast. I'll definitely try some of their other dishes next time. Sorry my picture didn't come through.
The ramen here is really good. The broth is rich but not too greasy; the noodles are al dente, and the char siu is nicely charred and so tender. I stick to tonkatsu ramen mainly so I can't speak to the other dishes. I like to get side toppings like garlic or spicy sauce just to mix it up however. The restaurant is fairly small. I have not gone during peak times but I can imagine it must get busy and have a long wait. Also in the past the tables have been pushed together cafeteria style which I did not like at all. It's one of the reasons I don't eat there often But this time the tables were separated. I hop this is permanent. The service is always good here though.
I swear I thought I'd written a review for HiroNori but apparently, I never have. We've been coming to HiroNori now for quite a while. The first time I went was a location in Irvine. By the time I moved to Long Beach, this location opened. HiroNori is probably one of the best ramen I've had here in the US. I've been to Tatsu, Shin-Sen-Gumi, Rakkan, Josui, Daikokyua, and probably numerous more I'm not mentioning here. I've also been to one place in Japan that I will probably never remember because I randomly went in there and no one spoke English, but it was solid. I normally flip between the Tonkotsu or the Vegan ramen. Yes, they are vastly different but they are both equally delicious. The Long Beach location is usually wildly busy on weekends...you'll have better luck coming in during the week. I advise to add yourself on the waitlist because odds are, there's a wait. Service is never an issue and the food is always quality. My biggest gripe is the pricing. When we first ate years ago, it was about $13 for the vegan ramen. Last time I was there, $18. I don't remember if they ever had a service charge, but now they add one. So after taxes and service charge, it's almost $25 for a vegan ramen. Look I get there's inflation but other ramen shops I've been to have not increased their pricing that much in a relatively short amount of time (that I can remember). I'll still come here....just less.
I recently visited HiroNori Ramen and ordered the Shoyu Ramen. The flavor was absolutely delicious--rich, savory, and perfectly balanced. The noodles had great texture, and the broth was just incredible. Unfortunately, my experience was tainted by a few issues. The service was disappointing. Our waitress only checked on us once during the meal, and we couldn't even get water refills. The service was also noticeably slow, and the overall attitude of the staff felt less than welcoming. Another major downside was the 16% "optional" service fee added to the bill. While I understand service fees are becoming more common, I find this percentage extremely high, especially since there was no option to support with a smaller amount. It feels unfair, particularly when the service didn't meet expectations. The food here is great, but the service and unexpected fees make me hesitate to return. Hopefully, they can address these issues in the future.
Arrived on a Wednesday around 11am. Place wasn't too crowded but they do not sit you until your entire party arrives. I never dined at a ramen restaurant as I don't normally eat ramen. However, my co worker convinced me to go. I was hesistant as most dishes had pork and I don't like eggs that are runny. I ordered based on the servers recommendation, TONKOTSU RAMEN, which consists of Pork chashu, spinach, green onion, seaweed, bean sprouts, half egg. I was able to substitute the pork with chicken. My co worker ordered the same but with pork and an extra egg. Surprisingly, I had a fantastic experience at this ramen restaurant. The food was delicious, with a flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles. The chili spices available on the table allowed me to customize the heat to my liking, which made the meal even better. One thing to note is that gratuity is automatically added to the bill, but the service was good, so it didn't bother me too much. Overall, a great spot for trying ramen for the first time and I would definitely return.
So good! Second time trying this chain and it was better than the first time! At this location, you can join the waitlist online through Yelp. Get on there and grab a drink at a nearby bar, since the wait here can be long. The service was excellent! Very helpful and friendly. The tip is included in all bills but you can choose to remove it. We tried the Tonkatsu and Shoyu ramen bowls, subbing pork for chicken. The noodles here are delicious!! Texture and flavor are on point. The broth is complex and flavorful. The pork and chicken are super tender and tasty. The decor is dark and minimal. Great place for ramen!! Will come back for sure.
Sat at a table for two and were seated pretty quickly. We had Angel as a server and she was very communicative and friendly. She didn't hover or come by too many times. She brought us two cups of water upon sitting down and let us know right away that the water was infused. The water was very refreshing!! Ordered the crispy chicken as a starter. The sauce combined with some of the hot sauce on the table was a good combo of flavors! Our ramen came out pretty quickly after the chicken. Both bowls were tasty and very filling. We arrived around 4:30 PM. There was one server and every one seemed to be attended to. It wasn't too packed inside and the noise level was lower than the music. Definitely allowed for conversation.
